About the Department

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Nebraska at Kearney offers undergraduate degree programs in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, as well as graduate courses in the Science/Math Education Master of Science in Education degree program. As a mathematics student, you will receive personalized academic and career support. We keep our class sizes small so that students can actively engage in the learning process both during and outside of class. With an undergraduate degree in math, you will be well prepared to enter graduate school or begin a career in your choice of a variety of fields such as Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Cryptography, Teaching, and more.

For math education students, Nebraska offers the Attracting Excellence to Teaching Program that provides forgivable loans to students who are in high demand areas.

Our online graduate courses support practicing teachers by expanding their understanding of mathematics and mathematics education research. With additional opportunities in clubs, honoraries, and scholarships, 体育菠菜大平台 is the place for you!

Alex Linnerson

I always knew that I could count on my peers and professors for homework and mental health help. Even if a professor wasn't teaching your class, they would still help you if you had questions. Faculty truly want you to succeed. The community aspect of the 体育菠菜大平台 math department is second to none.
